About me

Sabu Cherian is a Veteran Management Consultant and Film Industry Leader with extensive experience in public sector transformation and the Indian entertainment ecosystem. He served as Chairman of Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC) from 2011 to 2015, where he successfully modernized infrastructure and improved the corporation’s performance ranking from 79th to 29th among Kerala PSUs. As Chief Advisor to Mahindra Consulting Engineers, he led the DPR for the modernization of Chitranjali Studio, coordinating with stakeholders across the Indian film industry. He has held multiple leadership positions in national and regional film bodies including Film Federation of India, Kerala Film Producers Association, and Censor Board of Kerala. Sabu holds a PGDBA and B.Com, and brings deep expertise in stakeholder engagement, public-private partnerships, and creative infrastructure development. He has also produced several successful Malayalam films and worked across India and the UAE.
